Having worked as a candidate architect and architect in South Africa, Alan’s main goal has always been to expand his professional knowledge in architecture and also to make a meaningful contribution to the industry. With a keen interest in sustainable design, his master’s degree research at NMMU South Africa was focused on the reuse of buildings, challenging the common tendency to build new buildings, which in turn contributes to an increase in new material usage, energy usage, degradation of virgin land, and an increase in the global carbon footprint. Having recently joined Overland Partners from South Africa, he intends to gain a fresh perspective on architecture and sustainable design.
Aside from work, Alan loves to travel and meet new people while experiencing different cultures.
