John is a highly skilled architect and believes that good design has the potential to positively affect society, the environment, and the human condition. He is deeply interested in place-making and sustainability, as well as creating well-crafted and elegantly detailed projects. His experience spans a variety of architectural project types at different scales, including hospitality, wineries, commercial, retail, urban design, mixed-use, multifamily, higher education, institutional, and high-end residential. Through the process of listening, collaboration, and thoughtful design, he has transformed his clients’ visions into national and local award-winning, sustainable projects across the country.
A native Texan, John graduated from the University of Texas in Austin School of Architecture with High Honors. He is active in a number of office committees and initiatives like the Design Process Committee and Overland WorkShop. He also has served on academic design juries as well as the AIA Design Awards Committee.
A lifelong learner, John enjoys bringing his joy for travel and new cultural experiences into his work. John’s creative passions include cooking and furniture-making.
