Mauricio is interested in architecture that will serve as a catalyst for social change. His vision as an architect is to create a direct impact on people’s lives through design, believing that creating space and manipulating environments can have the power to positively enhance a person’s life. After completing his undergraduate studies and a semester at the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain, Mauricio had the privilege of learning under Maria Solé Bravo, former member of Bjarke Ingles Group. Afterwards, he received his Master of Architecture from The University of Texas at San Antonio where he was selected as a Dean’s Award Nominee for Best Master’s Project for his thesis, “Environmental Psychology: Inspiring Social Change Through Architecture.”
Mauricio’s true passions are graphics, sketching and participating in design. He is inspired by world-renowned architecture and enjoys contributing to Overland’s design process.
On the weekends, Mauricio enjoys exploring the city’s emerging restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
