Sijie is always enthusiastic about how architecture design could make a better world through creating sustainable and meaningful spaces that enhance the local culture, experience, and diversity. After graduated from Northeastern University in 2014, Sijie took a gap year interning at Overland. She continued her study of architecture at University of Michigan and received her M.Arch degree in 2017.
Besides school, Sijie gained experience in architectural practice in Shanghai, Nanjing, and San Antonio. While working at Overland, she was involved in multiple projects at various types and scales, both in U.S. and international. She also took chances of study abroad and traveling studio, traveled around in Europe, exploring the local culture and broadened her view in architecture.
In her spare time, Sijie likes cooking and listening to new age music. She also enjoys traveling and appreciates the surprise moments from the trip.
