Originally from Massachusetts, Jenna graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a concentration in Emerging Technologies and pursued a Master of Architecture degree there in 2022, supported by academic scholarships. Her academic achievements led to publications in five architectural journals, two books, and a thesis dissertation. Jenna advocates for user-centric design to promote equity, equality, and inclusion in communities. Outside of work, Jenna enjoys being social with friends while exploring all the new amazing places the city has to offer! Painting and country dancing are her go-to’s when she gets the chance to.

Beverly brings extensive experience to Overland, spanning diverse project types. Hailing from south Texas, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from UT San Antonio and a Master of Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology. Passionate about fostering teamwork, she mentors young professionals and emphasizes transparent communication. Beverly’s designs prioritize sustainability and redefine living, working, and recreational spaces. She’s actively involved in professional associations such as the San Antonio chapter of the AIA and the Association for Learning Environments, while holding LEED accreditation. In her spare time, you will find her exploring out and about with her dogs and keeping busy with her latest creative project.

Priscilla, a Dallas native, delved into architecture early on at Skyline High School’s Architecture cluster before completing her senior year at El Centro College. She pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Arlington and continued her studies at Syracuse University for graduate school. During her time in New York City, she interned at ODA, focusing on 3D graphic design for high-rise buildings. Back in Dallas, she excelled at GFF as a Project Coordinator and Design Liaison for Multifamily studios. Beyond her professional role, Priscilla’s community engagement shines through her volunteer work in Dallas. Raised in a Mexican American family, she cherishes the cultural significance of food, often sharing delicious meals with loved ones.

A San Antonio native, Ian M Amen is inspired by the history of a place – how the orders of a place have ability to communicate a common language across cultures and peoples – as well as the stories sometimes left untold. Architecture’s driver is more than mere problem-solution dogma but makes exceptions to rules for the sake of telling those untold stories with honor and dignity. Amen, a University of Texas graduate, and San Antonio College alumnus, believes that less is in fact enough until you are in the comfort of your grandmother’s maximalist kitchen. In other words, everything should be in moderation, including moderation itself.

Hailing from the serene woods of northern Minnesota, Tristan has always valued nature and well-being in his work. He pursued architecture at Judson University in Chicago where he was able to participate in multiple design-build projects, study tours, and fellowship opportunities, receiving his Master of Architecture in 2019 and becoming licensed in Texas in 2021. Tristan’s professional work has focused on projects in the education, non-profit, and visitor experience sectors. Understanding the intricacies of these unique spaces, from science labs to theatrical performance venues, is the challenge that draws him deeper into his work. Outside the office, Tristan has loved settling in San Antonio where he can be out cycling or hiking year-round.

Rick Archer, FAIA, is a founding partner at Overland Partners Architecture + Urban Design and served as Overland’s CEO from 2016 to 2023. Rick plays an active role as Design Principal with a focus on projects in the areas of education, healthcare, non-profit and urban design. Serving as a mentor, teacher and collaborative partner, Rick is known for drawing out the best from his teams and clients. He is an active leader in community initiatives around the globe, with a focus on education, sustainability, social equity and design that inspires human flourishing.

Austin believes that in architecture, relentless curiosity is the fuel for innovation. Austin’s collaborative spirit working with teams to iterate on ideas and contributing to the design process has generated various works of architecture on differing scales that represent a whole concept brought to its physical fruition. His strong focus on Sports & Entertainment includes prior project experience encompassing digital venues, NFL stadiums, performance halls, Esports, collegiate facilities and master planning. “It’s such a privilege to create moments in architecture where someone can look back in their life and picture a snapshot in time purely because our design shaped a physical experience.” In the office, Austin has a strong drive toward making people feel valued. He believes that the strongest team is the one who has a maximum variation in skill and thinking that can collaborate effectively while valuing the talents and personalities that each individual brings to the table. During his spare time, you can find Austin running, biking, and swimming where he tends to think of most of his ideas. Whether it’s training for the next race or working on the latest home renovation, he always is busy with new projects on both the professional and personal fronts.

A proud alumnus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Steve thrives on hands-on work both at home and in the studio, offering a unique perspective on building assembly and detailing. At Overland, he revels in exploring material juxtapositions and the potential tectonics of design. Within the studio, Steve pushes the boundaries of BIM while enhancing production efficiency through education and innovation. Engaged in both Technical and BIM committees, he also contributes invaluable engineering solutions to the Overland CANstruction team, promoting community awareness of hunger. Steve also strives to continue in his pilgrimage of faith, a journey that has revealed many amazing people and cherished opportunities along the way.

Managing projects in the Residential Area, Austin strives to serve the client well by bringing their dreams into reality. Austin’s passion for architecture started early on as he grew up watching his parents run a residential architecture firm on Nantucket Island. From job sites to the home drafting studio, he has been immersed in the world of architecture for as long as he can remember. He brings this passion to each house he creates, inviting the client into the process of design. He believes this collaborative approach creates a sense of stewardship and love for the home, as if they had designed it themselves. “To be invited into a family’s life to shape the spaces where they will create lasting memories is an incredible privilege.” On the weekends, Austin and his wife Carolyn enjoy walking, hiking or swimming in the river with their two dogs: a Lab named Tucker and a German Shepard named King.

Robin is passionate about the powerful impact the design of world-class sports venues has on creating lifetime memories for raving fans, families, and communities. For more than 35 years, Robin has been a positive force in the sports industry, utilizing the unique platform of athletics to positively impact culture. A Principal leading business strategy and development for Overland Partners Sports & Entertainment, Robin has worn many hats in the sports world including the creation of Talent Sports International, a sports management and marketing firm representing over 50 professional athletes including Hakeem Olajuwon, Karl Malone, Joe Dumars, Rolando Blackman, Herschel Walker, Will Perdue and Spud Webb. He has also served as SW President of Host Communications, the world’s largest collegiate sports marketing firm, and was co-founder of The Heart of a Champion Foundation, dedicated to character development in junior high students. Robin started his sports career as the International Tour Director for the Association of Tennis Professionals. He serves as a board member of City Square, Braveheart Ministries, SHINE Foundation and coled the Dallas 2024 Olympic Bid Committee. His heart for the sports industry pales in comparison to Robin’s greatest passion— being a father to four amazing sons, Ryan, Chase, Chris and Jon Cole.

Tim Blonkvist, Founding Principal and Chairman of the Board, is legendary for the energy and passion he brings to his projects and client relationships. He has worked on award-winning, sustainable projects from single-family homes to the design of new cities around the world. Tim believes that architecture is the physical embodiment of the people who inhabit a place. He has learned over the years that the individual building is less important than how buildings as a group work together to create outdoor rooms for people to enjoy and understand the larger context. It is with this approach that his work throughout the US, Europe, China, India, and Saudi Arabia pushes beyond the limits of their geographical location toward contemporary sustainable solutions.

Tim is an extraordinary creative force whose work synthesizes art, architecture, and the use of natural light. He finds inspiration and restoration in art, spending several weeks each summer painting in Italy as well as painting into the wee hours of the morning every week with a group of local artists. While art and architecture are intimately related within Tim’s work, it is their differences that are so critical for his creative life. While architecture is a long, detail-oriented process involving hundreds of people, art is an individual creative act that is realized in a very short period of time. The immediate satisfaction he gains creating his personal art provides energy and sustains his passion needed to bring larger, more complex architectural projects to life for his clients. Trip strongly believes that great design is authentic design. For him, this means being true to a project’s place, needs, and economy. Motivated by the pursuit of bringing this unique thinking to every individual project, Trip digs into the DNA of his work and its potential positive impact. This naturally requires the wearing of many hats – often on the same day – including Design Researcher, Market Analyst, Business Analyst, and Brand Strategist. Trip leads and integrates multidisciplinary design teams during early project phases to help discover and create true, authentic design solutions. The ink dries fast in the design process, and these early weeks and months are precious ones. Trip is a believer in bringing many voices to the table where they can be heard and influence design outcomes. This involves intense early collaboration between clients, architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, branding agencies, economists, and stakeholders. This process has helped create some of the finest and most authentic sports facilities in the world, including SoFi Stadium, US Bank Stadium, AT&T Stadium, and Globe Life Field. Other clients include American Airlines Center, Aviva Stadium, Dr. Pepper, Ford Motors, and Miller Park (now American Family Field). After completing his degree at Tulane School of Architecture, Trip worked in Boston and Austin before settling in Dallas. He enjoys maxing out the step counts and patience of his family on photo walks through the world’s great cities. Between trips, he enjoys home renovation and imbibing a spectrum of dark brown liquids including ales, porters, craft beer and spirits.

Amelia is an Architect at Overland Partners where she leads project teams across several market areas. Known for her collaborative approach and attentive listening, Amelia seeks to use architecture as a tool to elevate both people and place, integrating sustainable practices with human centered design. She’s deeply involved in non-profit work, both within and beyond the office as evidenced by her work on the Zion National Park Discovery Center and Real Life Church. Outside of her architectural responsibilities, Amelia co-chairs the Art Program @ Overland, which supports local artists and explores the intersection between art and architecture. During her free time Amelia is an avid wanderer and loves discovering new places whether it be in a different country or her own neighborhood. She also enjoys reading, cooking and spending time outdoors.

Samantha, a proud Austin native, earned her Bachelor of Science in Visualization from Texas A&M University in 2024. Specializing in 3D environment creation and rendering, she is driven by the belief that every landscape and building tells a unique story, which she brings to life through captivating 3D renders. While at university, Samantha gained diverse creative experience, including teaching art, working in graphic design, and serving as a 3D artist for the Department of Visualization’s LIVE Lab. Now at Overland, she is focused on advancing her career in architectural visualization. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures. She is also an avid runner and painter, finding inspiration in both digital and traditional art forms.

Jillian, originally from California, pursued her undergraduate studies at Wellesley College before earning her master’s at the former Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture at Taliesin. During her time there, she immersed herself in restoring historic buildings and archiving drawings for preservation. Specializing in the multifamily sector over her 11-year career, Jillian’s portfolio includes diverse projects like the Weir’s Office tower and Factory Six03. She also has worked on Minor League Baseball stadiums and the Dallas Cotton Bowl. Jillian actively engages in mentorship programs like ACE Mentoring and contributes to community-building initiatives like AIA’s Communities by Design.

Alisha is an architect and designer committed to prioritizing human transformation through her leadership on hospitality, cultural, and urban planning projects. She thrives in foundational stages of design, collaboratively shaping project vision and identity, as well as organizing complex ideas and strategies. A native Oklahoman, Alisha grew up in Tulsa and attended the Oklahoma State University School of Architecture before moving to San Antonio. Within the city, she has engaged in community volunteer efforts with Centro San Antonio and the Professional Practice & Leadership Program through the local chapter of the AIA. During her leisure time, Alisha can be found channeling her passion for design into renovating her 1920s bungalow home, enjoying a Spurs game, or soaking up sun with her beloved tortoiseshell cat, Eleanor.

Adam Bush, AIA, is President of Overland and leads the enterprise’s design practice across San Antonio, Dallas, Denver, Salt Lake City and New York with a focus on future growth. Adam recently celebrated 16 years with the firm, serving as Principal and Director of Overland’s Education practice. His commitment to excellence and servant leadership have been influential across many of Overland’s large and most complex projects, including Patton Hall at the University of Texas at Austin; the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business & Innovation at Baylor University; transformation of the new Austin Community College Rio Grande Campus; the new University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) School of Data Science as well as UTSA’s Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Careers School currently underway in downtown San Antonio. He empowers works closely with clients, construction partners, consultants and design teams to deliver highly sustainable, transformational projects of positive impact. Adam’s attention to detail and collaborative approach facilitates well-integrated design solutions. Additionally, his thorough knowledge of building systems and technology add value to projects by uncovering efficient and sustainable design synergies. He has played a lead sustainability role in several of Overland’s LEED Gold and LEED Platinum projects. Passionate about sustainability, John integrates regenerative design principles into his projects as well, which have earned numerous AIA, ULI, & other design awards; sustainability distinctions such as COTE® Top 10, LEED Certifications, WELL, & Living Building; and accolades from publications including Time, Vogue, & Conde Naste.

He believes the true poetry of design lies in the details… like the way materials come together or light falls into a space. His projects enhance the quality of life of their occupants by responding to daily and seasonal rhythms and foster deep connections to land, place, and culture. With a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Architecture from Northeastern University, Angel has diverse experience, including a notable position at the Tower of London, improving accessibility and modernizing management. At SGA, she contributed to projects focusing on life and science, commercial, residential, as well as an award winning design for an innovative mass timber lab. Yanjing’s passion for architecture and environmental design drove her to pursue a Master in Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin after graduating with honors in China. With extensive experience in both Chinese and American architectural practices, she excels at Overland on high-profile projects of varying scales. Yanjing’s deep interest in sustainability informs her work, integrating societal and environmental considerations into responsive designs. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to explore diverse cities, cuisines, and cultures, discovering the beauty of life along the way.

Glenn Clarke is an accomplished Interior Designer dedicated to cultivating spaces that uplift every user’s experiences in their environment, both emotionally and functionally. Throughout the design process, Glenn engages with clients through mindful conversation, identifying their aspirations and setting clear objectives. To Glenn, every space, whether it’s an office, sports venue, or personal home, should serve to uplift the spirit. These environments should communicate with their users and visitors, embodying dynamism and supporting the users’ goals effectively. Glenn initiated his design journey in Architectural Design before transitioning into Interiors, driven by a passion to impact emotions through environment design. He believes this effect to be more pronounced with interiors due to their intimate scale. An active member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Glenn has also been a consistent juror for the Chicago AIA Design Awards and numerous Interiors projects. His remarkable designs for law firms, corporate headquarters, and residential projects have earned him many accolades. Glenn relishes teaching and regularly engages with various universities including UCLA, California State University, Dallas College, and University of Texas. Ty comes from a lineage of home builders and entrepreneurs, instilling in him a strong work ethic and a desire to leave a lasting impact. With a background in construction and a passion for nature, he believes in harmonizing architecture with the environment. Ty’s journey from UTSA to Texas A&M, where he earned his Master of Architecture and certification in Sustainable Urbanism, solidified his commitment to conceptualizing housing solutions that adapt to evolving family dynamics. An Eagle Scout and outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys hunting, tennis, and tinkering with cars; learning as much from breaking as he does fixing them. Owen Coffee brings 26 years of experience in a broad range of architectural disciplines, including master planning, facility assessment, renovation, and all phases of architectural design. He received his professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from Oklahoma State University. Owen’s professional experience included hospitality, retail, and the performing arts before settling into the sports architecture sector. He was instrumental in the procurement and delivery for Globe Life Field, the new venue for the Texas Rangers. In addition, he held lead roles in renovations at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and at Riders Field in Frisco, Texas, after playing an integral role in the design of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

With expertise in institutional campuses, multi-family residences, and hospitality projects globally, he’s known for his creative design approach and collaborative demeanor. Giorgio excels at translating client visions into intentional project strategies, emphasizing detail, material selection, and cultural expression. Originally from Szczecin, Poland, Karina draws inspiration from her city’s rich architectural history and cultural complexities. With a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University, she advocates for urban design’s role in creating cohesive communities. Specializing in sports, entertainment, mixed-use, and hospitality projects, Karina prioritizes wellness and community integration. Now based in New York, she immerses herself in the city’s diverse neighborhoods, finding joy in parks and culinary exploration. Through endless walks and cycling adventures, Karina adds cultural nuances to her cooking, finding comfort in New York’s reflection of global diversity.

Catherine is inspired by architecture that articulates reverence for the human and natural history of a place. Some of her favorite places are those where we can see history expressed in architectural layers. Her work on a variety of design scales, from small residential to large commercial, has given her a particular appreciation for exploring new systems and unique programmatic needs. Catherine received dual undergraduate degrees in Environmental Design and Construction Science from Texas A&M as well as a Master of Architecture from UT Austin. She also participated in study abroad programs in Italy and Mexico. Catherine is active in the American Institute of Architects Austin chapter with particular interest in the Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN). In her free time, she and her family enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, and paddleboarding in central Texas and southern Colorado.

Originally from New Orleans, Sarah brings her architectural passion and expertise to Overland’s Dallas office. With experience spanning academic, community, healthcare, commercial interiors, and science and technology sectors, she’s committed to thoughtful design that empowers communities. Sarah, a licensed architect in Texas, earned her Master of Architecture from Tulane University. Hannah, an Interior Designer with a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University, brings her passion for detail-oriented design to Dallas. With experience in high-end residential, corporate workplace, and aviation interiors, she emphasizes creating unique and meaningful experiences. Her skills in custom millwork design, construction documentation, and 3D rendering contribute to versatile design solutions. Beyond her design work, Hannah is a registered yoga teacher, teaching in Dallas studios, and enjoys live music and outdoor activities with friends in her free time.

Kali’s architectural journey began with her father’s influence as a custom-home builder, leading to degrees from The University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas A&M University. With a focus on sustainability, she’s earned credentials as a LEED AP and LFA, driven by a commitment to inclusive design. Kali believes architecture should prioritize people, enriching lives and communities. Outside of work, she finds rest in nature through fishing, camping, and time with her dogs. Originally from Puerto Rico, Wilfredo relocated to Austin in 2016 after earning his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and Master’s in Architecture from the University of Puerto Rico. His professional journey encompasses designing and overseeing various projects, ranging from high-end residential homes to commercial developments. He perceives architecture as a medium to contribute to society by crafting unique spaces that evoke emotions and memories. Influenced by Bauhaus simplicity, brutalist sculptural forms, and the openness of Tropical architecture, his style accentuates unique materials and sustainability. Beyond work, Wilfredo indulges in sailing, surfing, paddleboarding, and hiking. Regularly hosting paella nights for friends, he finds joy in fostering connections. As a volunteer mentor for Explore Austin, he shares his passion for outdoor activities, enriching the lives of children beyond architectural realms.

Leah, a St. Louis native, completed her Master of Architecture at the University of Kansas. Her notable achievement was designing and building a 2,000 square foot Single Family residence with Studio 804. Transitioning to Construction Management in Boston, she worked on a 7-story mixed-use project. Now back at Overland Partners, Leah combines her diverse experiences with a focus on process-driven design for human engagement. Despite her lack of equine expertise, Leah volunteered at a horse rescue ranch in Massachusetts and looks forward to embracing her cowgirl side in Texas.

Victoria, a recent graduate with a Master of Architecture from UTSA, brings a blend of skills from her earlier Bachelor of Interior Design. Prior to joining Overland Partners, she interned at Gensler SA, gaining valuable experience. Throughout her studies, she contributed to diverse projects, honing her focus on user experience at the intersection of interior design and architecture. Victoria believes in designing for all senses to create immersive environments that enhance well-being. In her spare time, she indulges in astrology and coffee.

With over 25 years of administrative experience, Ann is dedicated to offering top-tier support to executives and their teams. Her diverse background includes roles in various industries such as private medical practice, government agencies, hotel management, law firms, and family offices. Raised in San Antonio, Ann has lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Spokane, Washington. She finds joy in reading, cooking, attending live music events, traveling, and cherishing moments with family and friends.

Steve has been a cornerstone at Overland for over 30 years, initially as CAD manager and later as BIM manager during the transition to Revit. Passionate about efficiency, he developed tools in LISP for AutoCAD and now utilizes Dynamo for Revit. He also champions Microsoft SharePoint, creating PowerApps for data collection and PowerBI dashboards for project analysis at Overland. Steve and his wife Carmen have two grown sons.

Tori brings office management and executive administration expertise from BakerCorp and The Potters’ House of Dallas to Overland. She excels in creating modern efficiencies and supporting daily operations. Her background as a leasing manager at Greystar offers valuable insights into client relations and design across various sectors. Despite working full-time and raising two daughters, Tori graduated Magna Cum Laude in Communications and Digital Media from the University of North Texas at Dallas. She actively engages with her alma mater and the Dallas community, collaborating on projects promoting equity and diversity. Tori is skilled in event planning and passionate about giving back. She enjoys fine arts, screenwriting, and cooking for loved ones. Tori’s encouraging spirit drives her to help others surpass their potential, whether they’re youth, team members, or leaders.

Marie was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and attended The University of the Incarnate Word. She enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her family and dogs. She’s worked in HR for over 15 years. She likes helping people and making sure that they get the most out of their benefits. One thing that may surprise people about her is that she was a certified scuba diver. Her dream job was to be a Dive Master in the Cayman Islands. Her go to karaoke song is ‘These boots are made for Walkin!’ by Nancy Sinatra.

Mitzy, hailing from Chihuahua, Mexico, pursued opportunities in the United States to broaden her horizons. With a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and a Master’s in Architecture from Princeton University, she’s passionate about crafting impactful spaces rooted in thorough research and understanding of community needs. Recognized with the 2022 Suzanne Kolarik Underwood Prize, Mitzy’s interests span urban-scale operations and set design, with notable contributions to exhibitions at Princeton’s School of Architecture and collaboration with LTL Architects for the Resilient Coasts: Forests and Adaptation exhibition at the MAXXI Museum in Rome, Italy. Formerly crowned Miss Teen Texas Latina and Miss Latina Teen USA, Mitzy’s journey underscores her drive for excellence. Now back in Texas, she enjoys pilates, cooking, global travel with her husband, and embracing diverse cultures.

Jena, a native Texan now rooted in Austin, views architecture as a catalyst for positive change, prioritizing relationships and community. With experience in high-end hospitality and residential projects like Maverick and Allora in San Antonio, she relishes the impact of thoughtful design on business success. Holding a Master of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, Jena is committed to education and community engagement. Alan, a Lead Architect at Overland, brings a wealth of experience spanning the built environment, grounded in his tenure in the US Air Force as a Heavy Equipment Operator. His hands-on work provided invaluable insights into the fusion of utilities and buildings, enhancing his ability to convey design intent through drawings. With a passion for Sports & Entertainment projects, Alan finds joy in witnessing the fruition of his designs, whether in recreation centers or stadiums. Notable projects include YMCAs in San Antonio, the Texas State University Recreation Center, and iconic venues like the Los Angeles Rams Sofi Stadium and the Texas Rangers Globe Life Field. From his military background to architectural leadership, Alan’s commitment to project success remains unwavering, making him an integral part of the team at Overland.

Xiuyin, originally from Guangdong, China, earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art in 2016. She pursued her master’s in architecture at Texas Tech University, graduating in 2019. Living and studying abroad enriched her perspective, exposing her to diverse cultures. At Texas Tech, she served as a graduate assistant and interned under Professor Rafael Beneytez Duran, a Spanish Registered Architect. This experience ignited her passion for residential design and collaborative work. Xiuyin expresses herself through various art forms, including oil painting, ceramics, and Chinese calligraphy. She began watercolor painting while traveling in the West. Her project, “The Last Landscape,” was featured in Texas Architect magazine in June 2019. Seeking a practice that fosters teamwork and creativity, Xiuyin aims to continue innovating in residential design.

Ali Hussein is a Designer I and a recent graduate from Oklahoma State University. His educational background is supported by his passion in the idea of “good design for all”; a concept that also translates in his life outside of work through various DEI and community-based initiatives. This experience has helped Ali to develop a grounded and diverse approach to the modern-day issues that persist in our world through the lens of design. As a young designer, he is eager to expand his knowledge in the areas of social justice, rural revitalization, and equitable design; which reassures his belief that everyone deserves good design and that your placement in life shouldn’t determine what you can and can’t experience. Outside of work, you can find Ali acting like he knows what he’s doing playing pickleball or enjoying a good brew at his favorite brewery.

Hutch, as he is known to friends and clients around the world, has a 46-year history that includes managing some of the largest and most complex projects ever built.

In addition to helping deliver Miller Park, the American Airlines Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, US Bank Stadium, and Globe Life Field, he has also expanded into opportunity development and senior project management for international projects such as a major league ballpark for Kitahiroshima Japan, and new arenas in Kobe and Tokyo. Four of his past projects — Miller Park, Lucas Oil Stadium, Globe Life Field, and the Kitahiroshima Ballpark include large, retractable roofs.

In addition to his sports work, he also helped deliver significant expansions to the Dallas Convention Center, which boasts the largest column-free exhibit hall in the United States when it opened. He has returned to what is now the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center for numerous additional projects over the following years.

Hutch is famous for not only being an amazing storyteller, but also for having personally experienced most of these stories. He has recently completed his favorite project of them all – a custom home on the shore of an East Texas lake. Here he entertains friends and three generations of family. He is known to pour enough Old Fashioned cocktails that he now has to buy his cherries in bulk.

With over 10 years in IT, Mikah excels in technical support, particularly in the medical sector, aiding clinics globally with software and hardware issues. He’s adept at troubleshooting and training users on diverse systems like Windows/Mac OS, medical devices, and network printers. Mikah’s interests extend to gaming, basketball, and building custom computers. He’s also passionate about crypto mining and investing, embracing experimentation and innovation with zeal.

Andrew, a third-generation architect, draws inspiration from family ties, approaching architecture as a collaborative endeavor. With experience spanning residential, educational, and cultural projects, he prioritizes people-centric design. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Andrew honed his skills at the University of Technology Sydney before interning at Overland Partners in San Antonio. Returning to Overland after time working in the Pacific North West, Andrew emphasizes contextual architecture for a lasting impact. Outside work, Andrew enjoys hiking, gardening, and mentoring youth, while indulging in hobbies like watching baking shows and supporting Liverpool FC.

As a sustainability advocate, Courtney views architecture as an opportunity to cultivate and reimagine our connection with the natural world. With a focus on high-performance buildings, she integrates sustainable principles into her projects. Courtney’s expertise encompasses daylight studies, passive heating/cooling, carbon accounting, and renewable energy calculations. She believes sustainability should align with clients’ values, forging links between nature and design for enduring beauty. Courtney’s expertise has earned her the opportunity to teach the UTSA x OVERLAND studio and share her passion with others.

Takeshi Kamiya’s work as the Global Director of Urban Design & Planning at Overland Partners reflects his commitment to producing inspiring and impactful work that prioritizes environmental sustainability, fosters well-being, and leads to measurable human transformation. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and creativity, Kamiya advocates for sustainable and equitable practices through urban design, master planning, and architecture. His portfolio includes projects at some of the country’s top-ranked private and public universities, including Caltech, Georgetown, and the University of Miami, as well as the Hudson Yards Master Plan, one of the most impactful urban master plan projects in the U.S. Kamiya has also worked on projects in his home country of Japan, including the Hokkaido Ballpark, designed for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters baseball team, during his time at architecture firm HKS, Inc. The first of its kind in Japan, Kamiya believes it will transform sports and entertainment projects around the world.

Kamiya’s passion for exploring how architecture shapes a city’s identity began while studying as an undergraduate in his home country of Japan. He furthered his understanding of urban design by completing the graduate program in architecture at Pratt Institute in New York City, a college known for its commitment to craft, sustainability, and social responsibility in design. With a deep appreciation for the importance and interplay of science and art, Takeshi creates designs that are not only buildable but also undeniably beautiful, resulting in memorable places that are responsible, viable, and loved by people.

In 1984, responding to a blind job listing at a “Professional Sports Team,” Cheryl started a long and very storied career in the front office of the Dallas Mavericks, including thirty years in the office of the CEO, where she served under three owners and four CEOs. She also served on the Board of the Dallas Mavericks Foundation. When she’s not showing off her NBA championship ring, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her children, including her son Bobby, who continues the family tradition of working with the Mavericks, and her daughter Lisa. Cheryl serves as “Chief of Staff” for Overland’s Dallas office, overseeing the operational and administrative duties in the Dallas office of Overland Partners. Cheryl grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and has lived in Dallas since the early 80s. Her most favorite times are any time spent with her children and family.

Aarti sees design as collaborative problem-solving, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in creating thoughtful solutions. With eight years of experience in multiple sectors of architecture, including healthcare, commercial and sport and entertainment, she values architecture at all scales. A strong advocate for Diversity and Inclusion, Aarti currently serves as the co-chair for DFW NOMA’s Project Pipeline, a summer camp focused on fostering the next generation of design professionals. She also helped develop and co-leads an architecture and design outreach program for a local middle school in South Dallas that has been ongoing since 2017.

Aarti is a graduate of the AIA Dallas 2023 Emerging Leaders Program. Outside of work, Aarti enjoys traveling, drawing and spending time with her schnauzer terrier mix, Wilson.

Braden believes architecture should prioritize human flourishing, shaping the built environment to serve people. With a background in architecture from Oklahoma State University and ongoing studies in theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, he blends his passions for design and human-centered philosophy. Previously at HKS Inc., Braden worked on diverse projects including schools, sports, and healthcare facilities, focusing on anthropocentric design. In his spare time, he enjoys painting, reading, music, and outdoor activities like mountain biking and hiking. Braden seeks to cultivate community and care for his fellow man wherever he is.

Steve has a broad spectrum of experience in architectural, urban design, and master planning projects. He has worked extensively in the areas of education architecture and campus planning, cultural facilities, and residential design. He also brings a comprehensive design vision to the firm’s international planning work. Steve approaches his craft with the desire to sensitively meld architectural form and context into culturally significant and memorable places. As an advocate for the re-emergence of his city, he has participated in numerous planning projects in the San Antonio community, including the River North Master Plan, Upper Broadway Corridor, and Hemisfair Park Redevelopment. He also wields a skillful pencil and has a passion for the clarity and immediacy of a hand-sketched idea or character vignette. Steve has a love of history and culture, and enjoys traveling, reading, and photography.

Christian, a licensed architect at Overland, believes in a methodical approach to design that merges traditional practices with cutting-edge technology. His expertise spans educational, residential, mixed-use, and urban planning projects, with a focus on innovative housing solutions. Outside of architecture, Christian, along with his wife Shannon, explores fine art photography. They spend weekends rock climbing, traveling, and cherishing time with their daughters. Christian’s interests include cycling, running, reading, and writing, and he is actively engaged in his church community.

Rachel Kubena is a Designer at Overland Partners and believes powerful architecture results from design that responds and relies on its context for inspiration in a way that positively impacts one’s experience and the environment. Raised in La Vernia, Texas, Rachel completed her undergrad and graduate studies with honors from the University of Texas at San Antonio receiving an Edward Allen Student Award, a Henry Adams Award, and a University Life Award for CACP Outstanding Graduate Student. Now she is working on a building for her alma mater, UTSA San Pedro II, and values the opportunity of getting to be a part of the project team from concept to construction. Throughout her education and career Rachel continues to have a strong passion for sustainability where she’s worked on various simulations to help evaluate the design to achieve the project’s sustainability goals.

Outside of the studio, Rachel enjoys being with her family, acrylic painting, volunteering on her church’s building committee, and spending time outdoors hiking and traveling to new places. She is always interested in trying out new hobbies like making wine with her husband.

James Lancaster is a Principal with Overland and leads the firm’s Visitor Experience area, developing market strategies and serving as a subject matter expert in the areas of non-profit, civic and cultural work. James celebrates the quality of all life through design leadership. Motivated by the potential of creating regenerative places, James approaches projects through the lens of creating harmony between the environment and the well-being of individuals and communities. By fostering a fun and inclusive design atmosphere, his teams are empowered to create immersive environments that facilitate healing, invite inspiration, and allow visitors to experience contemplation and joy.

His notable projects include the East Gateway Lodge and Visitor Center at Zion National Park, ChildSafe Harvey E. Najim Children & Family Center, Austin by Ellsworth Kelly, and The Color Inside – a James Turrell Skyspace at the University of Texas at Austin. James received his Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University and received his Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech University. He serves on the board of the San Antonio Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and holds a Living Future Accreditation with the International Living Future Institute.

Allison, a native of San Antonio, is a seasoned architect with 15+ years of diverse experience. A UTSA graduate, she holds licenses in Texas and Arizona and is NCARB-certified. Currently, she chairs Women in Architecture for AIA San Antonio, championing diversity and inclusion. Proficient in all design phases, she excels in technical detailing and construction admin. As a senior architect at Overland, she prioritizes sustainability and the Human Handprint, driving excellence in execution and project management. She strives to enrich the world through the built environment, enhancing both surroundings and human experiences. Outside work, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her Great Dane, Artemis, relishing camping and hiking. An enthusiast of activity, she dances to live music, cycles along greenbelts, and explores culinary delights. Heather has been an Executive Assistant for over 15 years. She is a life-long learner who believes every day is an opportunity to learn something new – no matter how small. She is passionate about communication, continuous learning, and focusing on the details. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is working towards completing her master’s degree in forensic psychology. She is a Public Notary and member of the Society for Leadership and Success and the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.

An brings a wealth of experience to Overland, having worked as an architectural designer in Shanghai for five years before earning his master’s degree in architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. His portfolio spans a variety of project types, including indoor stadiums, offices, condos, resorts, and hotels.

An is passionate about translating exciting ideas into reality through architecture, focusing on both conceptual design and construction documents. He explores the interplay between design concepts and urban contexts while staying abreast of emerging technologies to enhance the design process and user experience.

Outside of work, An enjoys staying active with sports like table tennis and swimming, finding that they refresh him and fuel his creativity.

Vanessa is a proud resident of San Antonio, although she originally hails from the sunny state of California. She is an alumnus of the University of Texas at San Antonio, having completed her undergraduate studies in business administration in 2018.

Vanessa’s professional career spans over seven years in administration. In addition to her work, she also volunteers her time at a local elementary school and at a local garden with a mission to help grow healthy communities.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys hiking scenic trails in her area, spending quality time with her family and her beloved pet, and is always on the lookout for new and exciting restaurants to try. One of Vanessa’s greatest passions is travel, and she loves exploring new destinations and experiencing new cultures.

Born in England to Australian parents, Katie’s nomadic childhood shaped her worldview. Now settled in the U.S., she treasures moments with friends, enjoying good food, cocktails, and laughter in her spare time.

Carin received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Penn State in 2007. Following that, she spent 4 years living in Misawa, Japan, before returning to the United States. She has more than 17 years of experience in graphic design, web design, and marketing strategy and has applied her diverse skills to numerous industries, including architecture, travel, higher education, military, retail, and animal welfare.

Carin lives with her husband, Eric, her nephew, and their dogs. Outside of work, enjoys playing guitar, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Michael’s passion to lead a project from inception to completion, paired with his knowledge of building science, have helped him become a well-rounded and versatile architect. Born and raised in Louisiana, Michael graduated from Louisiana State University in 2001. Prior to joining Overland in 2010, Michael worked in Baton Rouge and Kansas City and has projects in multiple states across the United States.

He has a broad range of experience across many different project types, from football stadiums and liturgical projects to higher education and historic hotel renovation. Michael has been part of multiple National AIA and local award-winning projects.

Outside of the office, Michael enjoys traveling with his family, playing outside with his three boys and cooking with his wife Andria.

Sandra is a multi-faceted professional with a diverse educational background, including degrees in Communication and Public Relations, Global Leadership and Sustainable Development, and Architecture. Her accolades include the ARCC King Student Medal, the AIA San Antonio Rising Star Award, and the Texas Society of Architect’s Associate Member of the Year Award. She has contributed significantly to research, including studies on architectural design and sustainability. Sandra’s leadership extends to various committees and working groups focused on climate action and adaptation planning. Currently serving as the Design Performance Manager at Overland Partners, Sandra is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Land Use Planning Management and Design at Texas Tech University.

Emmanuel was born in San Antonio and raised in the South Texas border town of McAllen. His visits to family across the border in Rio Bravo piqued his interest in the variations in use of public spaces between the U.S. and Mexico. As a designer, Emmanuel is committed to nurturing a sense of belonging by creating vibrant communal spaces that promote social engagement and community involvement in the place we inhabit. He earned his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he was honored with the AIA San Antonio Student Design Award in 2023. Emmanuel also completed a certificate in urban planning, aiming to bridge the gap between urban public life and the architecture that surrounds us. Outside the office, Emmanuel is often found tending to his houseplants or playing with his cat, Bo. He also enjoys bouldering with friends at the local climbing gym or walking downtown capturing street photography.

Logan, like all great Tennesseans before him, made his way to Texas as soon as he could. Driven by his passion for connecting people with their built surroundings and his diverse education, which spanned community-driven master planning in the U.S. to furniture design in Denmark, he advocates for inclusive and sustainable design practices. Logan has worked on projects that include large scale municipal adaptive reuse to intimate hospitality new construction. He actively engages with the University of Texas at San Antonio’s School of Architecture, teaching and fostering collaboration between academia and the profession. Outside work, Logan enjoys home renovations with his wife, patronizing local waterholes, and finding ways to stay cool in the Texas heat.

Juan’s expertise originates from working with Managed Service Providers, specializing as both a System and Network Administrator. Transitioning to an internal IT role provided Juan with the most fulfillment, emphasizing people over technology. Born in sunny Los Angeles in 1992, he has lived most of his life in Dallas. Married to Aidé Núñez for nearly nine years, they are parents to Daniel (3) and Evelyn (1), with plans for more children. Beyond IT, he is an avid runner, bookworm, musician, and socialite. He relishes connections, whether running with neighbors or battling dragons in Dungeons and Dragons. Family is paramount; luckily, they reside near both their families, allowing frequent gatherings.

Sabrina envisions the future of design as interdisciplinary, melding architecture, urban planning, and hydrology to enhance human experience and environmental sustainability. Her graduate research, including award-winning projects and publications, exemplifies her commitment to integrated design. With a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon Portland, she has contributed to diverse projects, from residential to urban design. When she’s not dreaming up ways to weave architecture and nature together, Sabrina loves being physically active by discovering new places with her dog, running, and rock climbing.

Lucas is a licensed architect in Brazil with a Master of Architecture from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. While in Brazil, he co-founded his architectural practice, being awarded in national and international design competitions. Lucas contributed to educational, cultural, and mixed-use developments throughout his professional endeavors in the United States and internationally.

Lucas is interested in the phenomenological entanglements of architecture, being sensitive to the experiential qualities of materials and intentionality in the resolution of spaces. As a former Teaching Assistant in Design Visualization at Columbia University, he is interested in investigating different analog and digital mediums that can enhance architectural narratives and experience in design.

Prathamesh, a skilled designer, blends functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability in his innovative architectural designs. Holding a Bachelor of Architecture with honors from Mumbai University and a Master’s specializing in Urban Design from Virginia Tech, he boasts over three years of international and local project experience. Proficient in hand sketches, 3D modeling, and graphics, he collaborates with esteemed clients like the TATA Group and LODHA Constructions. Currently at Overland Partners, he drives design innovation and sustainability. Beyond work, Prathamesh enjoys sketching futuristic models, exploring urban landscapes, and creating memorable experiences.

Judson, an innovative visual artist, is dedicated to translating architects’ visions into captivating narratives that resonate deeply with audiences. His work transcends traditional architectural renderings, aiming to evoke emotional responses and convey the essence of spaces before they exist. Drawing inspiration from diverse creative realms, Judson places a strong emphasis on storytelling, ensuring that each visualization communicates the intended experience and atmosphere. His approach blends elements of photorealism with painterly techniques, crafting iconic images that provoke profound emotional connections. Beyond his professional endeavors, Judson maintains his artistic prowess through drawing, indulges in sand volleyball for recreation, and cherishes quality time with his family.

Sidney’s passion for architecture revolves around community-centric design and storytelling. Her favorite thing while traveling is to find a dusty curb, pop a squat, and sketch the surroundings — imagining the story behind her momentary muse. Sidney is involved in the San Antonio chapter of the Urban Land Institute and has a hope to do her own real estate development someday. However, in the meantime, she and her husband (a former Pheasant) keep busy renovating their 1925 craftsman bungalow, just a few minutes north of downtown. Other interests that capture her attention are floral arranging, theology and Austrian economics.

Ernesto, originally from Mexico City, studied at Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) and has since gained extensive experience. He spent 8 years at Omnilife, overseeing architectural projects for offices, retail shops, and Chivas training facilities. His passion for soccer drove his involvement with the Chivas team. Subsequently, he spent around 5 years at GVA, focusing on BIM management, coordination, and project management. Joining Overland, Ernesto aims to cultivate camaraderie among colleagues and advance his career by obtaining Architect certification and familiarizing himself with US building codes. He envisions contributing to the firm’s growth while enriching his professional toolkit.

Yavar, Lead Architect at Overland Partners’ Dallas practice, specializes in sports, entertainment, and urban design with 13 years’ experience. Notable projects include U.S. Bank Stadium and Globe Life Field. He believes in site-inspired design for environmental and social consciousness, emphasizing the building’s relationship with its surroundings and cultural context. His passion for history, archaeology, and architecture converge in his work, reflecting our past and aspirations. Raised in Iran, he pursued Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University before completing his Master’s at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2010. A Dallas resident for 15 years, he shares his home with his husband and German Shepherd, Rebel.

Chad is a senior construction contract administrator with over 25 years of experience. He has teamed on a broad range of building types, with significant concentration on sports and entertainment venues. His sports experience includes work on multiple collegiate and professional stadiums/arenas, with a client list that includes the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS and MLC.

As a licensed architect with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University, Chad has practiced in all phases of the architectural process, finding his passion for construction administration early in his career. As a construction administrator, he is responsible for implementing the procedures and methods required for projects to achieve design objectives through the construction phase. He is a skilled and effective communicator that provides seamless coordination between the client, construction manager and design team, with a focused attention on aesthetics and detailing, to ensure successful project delivery.

Outside of the office, Chad enjoys all different types of sports, traveling with his family to explore new places, mountain biking, coaching his children’s sports teams, golfing, and riding 4-wheelers.

Emma, a San Antonio native, completed her undergraduate studies at UTSA and recently graduated from UT Austin’s Master of Architecture program. Passionate about environmentally responsible design, she merges her love for her communities with her expertise in building technology. Emma excels in material fabrication and building details, bringing her early project ideas to life through hand drawing, water coloring, and physical modeling. Rock climbing is a core passion for Emma, fostering camaraderie as she trains and ventures to boulder destinations like Hueco Tanks State Park with friends.

Shelby Sekaly is an experienced Marketing Director and Manager with a demonstrated history of developing and managing brands, leading marketing strategy, and team operations. She displays strong skills in brand management, social media strategy, budgeting, event coordination, public relations strategy, website management, and creative direction. As Director of Marketing & Business Development at Overland, Shelby is focused on leading new business and digital marketing strategies, as well as media relations and team logistics. Shelby graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. Shelby is a member of Urban Land Institute and Artpace San Antonio. She is a music lover who enjoys experiencing live music as often as possible and collecting vinyl records. After 9 years in Houston, Shelby now lives in her hometown of San Antonio with her husband Drew, son Jackson, and their Great Pyrenees named Stella.

A leading practitioner of sustainable design, Bob is inspired by problem-seeking, problem-solving, and innovation that span scales and geographic boundaries. He examines the complexity of circumstances and relates them to their broader context, drawing from a diverse knowledge base that includes philosophy, history, and economics, in addition to architecture. For him, it is equally critical to learn from classical thinkers like Demosthenes or Heraclitus to understand the way the world works, how people interact, and how these elements come together to create the human condition.

Bob advocates that good design and sustainability go hand-in-hand and has spoken on this topic at dozens of regional, national and international conferences. As program chair of the U.S. Green Building Council International Conference & Exposition, he has overseen and nurtured its explosive growth and worldwide influence.

Matthew, a graduate of Texas Tech University with a master’s from Washington University, found inspiration in St. Louis’ unique landscapes and their interface with architecture. His experience in multi-family and commercial mixed-use design sparked his interest in the relational aspect of architecture. Matthew’s interest in the intimacy of design has led him to be engaged in numerous residential projects. Back in his home state, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, maximizing quality time with his three kids. He also delights in using his artistic talents through drawing, painting, writing, and being crafty. He has painted several murals, literally leaving his mark wherever he goes.

Deep rooted in finding the impact that design and the built environment have on people and places, Kelsey empowers collaboration between designers, builders, dreamers and makers to find the balance in beauty and function. Kelsey provides project management and coordination on various project types ranging from event venues, performance spaces and arenas to hospitality, residential and commercial spaces. She focuses on full team communication and coordination to propel projects into complete and thoughtful buildings from design through construction. Now settled in Colorado, Kelsey spends her free time adventuring through snowboarding, mountain biking, fly fishing, and paddle boarding. Though free time these days are limited as her and her husband work to renovate their 1908 American Foursquare home back to its original beauty.

As principal, Madison Smith is responsible for directing Overland’s master planning services. Madison brings a long-term approach to both his thinking on projects and the relationships he establishes. The hallmark of his work is his sensitive consideration for people’s experience in the built environment. In addition to his design work, Madison also leads activities in strategic planning, feasibility analysis, and finance.

Madison applies his development perspective to a wide range of architectural and master planning assignments. He has been consistently involved in the firm’s large-acreage, multiphased projects and in commercial real estate development.

Anne believes Architecture and Design should be responsive to people and place, drawing from her upbringing in Zimbabwe and global experiences. She values the transformative role of empathetic design in creating purposeful spaces within the built environment. Anne’s diverse background spans high-end residential, luxury hospitality, urban parks, and furniture design, complemented by her research in sustainability, dementia, and social impact. Collaborative and multidisciplinary, she contributes to award-winning projects tailored to unique briefs, offering innovative solutions with dynamic architecture. Proactive in technology and sustainability, Anne navigates between programs to address challenges effectively. Inspired by nature, diverse cultures, and portraiture painting, she cherishes both the process of learning and the outcome of her work.

Marta studied finance and accounting, and in 2009, she obtained a Master’s in Accounting from the Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. Marta worked in the Polish Courthouse before she came to the United States in 2013. She joined the Overland family in 2014 as part of the accounting department.
Her passion for travel has taken her throughout Spain, Greece, Austria and France. After seeing many cities she felt that San Antonio would be her new home.

Gregory believes in the power of places and spaces in enhancing the human condition and shaping identity. During his time at The University of Texas School of Architecture, he led the NOMAS chapter, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue on the Activist Architect. At Overland, Gregory contributed to projects like the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation at Baylor University, gaining insight into various stages of the design process. Beyond architecture, Gregory is a passionate musician, indulging in a diverse range of genres from jazz to classical opera.

From his childhood love for dismantling appliances to his current architectural career, Dan strives to understand and create spaces that are greater than the sum of their parts. With nearly two decades specializing in global stadium design, Dan focuses on optimizing bowl design and user circulation and planning to enhance experiences. Leading architectural teams, Dan’s mastery of BIM and Revit aids in seamlessly executing large-scale projects. His portfolio includes stadiums for Texas Christian University, US Bank Stadium, and SoFi Stadium (work completed while at HKS, Inc.), alongside ongoing arena studies in Japan. Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, Dan moved to Pittsburgh and Houston before settling in Dallas post-education at Texas A&M University and UT Arlington. Outside work, he is a mediocre woodworker on the weekend and enjoys not losing his fingers. He firmly believes if you’re not having fun doing what you’re doing, you must be doing something wrong.

Bryan Trubey is known for designing some of the world’s most memorable, recognizable, and critically acclaimed sports and entertainment facilities. He launched his sports career 30 years ago as the lead designer for the National Stadium in Hong Kong, and since has elevated the power of what sports facilities can be – from fan experience to revenue to enhancing player performance. Notable projects led by Bryan include the celebrated SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, and US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN. Most recently, he is leading the historic renovation of the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, TX.

Bryan is noted for his powerful design methodology that looks to the unique culture and context of a project for inspiration. “When I begin a project, it is hard to get my mind to settle down. There are so many ideas. I just see things differently,” says Bryan. “Eventually, ideas emerge that move in a direction combining all the influences that are unique to each project. The client, the place, climate, geography, culture, history, and people — people are everything. The forms we create are all focused on heightening the experience that every individual has in our work. We hope that all who experience our work leave lifted and believing that they have experienced something truly original. This word speaks to us, it drives us.”

Bryan’s projects and contributions to the sports and entertainment industries have garnered national and international media attention including NBC, CBS, ABC, ESPN, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Forbes, and Wired. In 2016, Bryan was named to the 50 Most Influential by Sports Business Journal.

Viviana, a Chilean architect with a Master’s in Design Studies from Harvard University, specializes in Energy and Environment. With diverse educational experiences at the University of Tokyo and MIT, she brings a comprehensive understanding of design, architecture, and sustainability. As a Design Performance Specialist at Overland, she leads sustainable design solutions, utilizing building performance simulations and life-cycle assessments to reduce carbon footprints and energy consumption. Passionate about creating healthy, resilient buildings, Viviana aims to improve the built environment’s adaptability to climate change. Beyond work, she delves into tea culture, languages, and literature, even becoming a certified Tea taster in Taiwan.

Barbara sees architecture’s power in its impact on human experience and health and focuses on prioritizing user-centric design. She is interested in the subconscious influence and reaction of the user by the curated program of the built environment. Having worked on various scales of projects, from large master plans to high end residences, and primarily in the hospitality sector, her commitment is not to a specific project type but any project that has potential for greatness. Originally from Mexico, Barbara brings a unique multicultural perspective to her projects and the office at large. Graduating at the top of her class, and a recipient of the College of Architecture, Construction, and Planning Designer of the Year award for two consecutive years, she holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Outside work, Barbara finds joy in remodeling her home with her husband, playing with her 3 children, cooking with friends, and organizing her home.

Laura, originally from Round Hill, Virginia, graduated from the University of Virginia’s Architecture school. Laura’s passion for architecture was ignited during childhood drives around DC, admiring glazed buildings at sunset. She joined Overland in 2022 with 8 years of prior experience in higher education. Laura is thrilled to be on a team that values architecture’s impact on daily life and is inspired by Overland’s meticulous approach to space through community. Outside of work, Laura is an avid gamer and community builder. She is actively developing the role of Circular San Antonio in the built environment–connecting people with materials–and makes time to join her husband and friends online playing videogames.

Oscar, hailing from the Rio Grande Valley, believes architecture can address social issues by integrating diversity, technology, culture, and art. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University. Noted for his work in healthcare facilities design, he showcased his designs at the 2017 Studio Excellence Exhibition. Committed to mentorship, Oscar serves as a mentor to students at all levels and encourages the pursuit of architecture as a profession. Outside work, he enjoys outdoor activities, volunteering, sampling BBQ, exploring graphics and drawing, and discovering small Texas towns.

Priscilla’s past designs focused on enhancing community living and gathering in urban environments. She is passionate about creating spatial intervention that can introduce new habits to users’ everyday life. Priscilla likes to employ fabrication into the design process and uses models to spark fruitful discussions among different parties. She received her Master of Architecture degree from Princeton University. Her thesis proposes a series of city infrastructure to reshape the streets surrounding the gated communities in Shenzhen, China. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Architectural Studies from Mount Holyoke College. In her spare time, Priscilla likes to write, hike, and practice traditional Chinese dance.
