The Cedar Elm STEM Center is a place for innovation and collaboration, inspiring students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Nestled amidst mature trees, the center’s future forward design is a beautiful juxtaposition with its natural surroundings, offering protected outdoor spaces for immersive learning experiences and a dedicated food truck station. Inside, the facility boasts flexible classrooms, state-of-the-art labs for chemistry, engineering, math, and physics, as well as tutoring centers and communal areas for both students and faculty, including an open-air “porch”. The elevated two-story lobby provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape, fostering a sense of connectivity and inspiration. With a commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, the center serves as a model for hands-on, project-based learning, empowering students from diverse backgrounds to explore, create, and collaborate. As a cornerstone of the Northwest Vista College and the Alamo Colleges District community, the Cedar Elm STEM Center paves the way for future generations of STEM leaders and innovators.
