Known as the venue for hosting the annual Red River Showdown, a highly anticipated rivalry football game between The University of Texas and University of Oklahoma, the Cotton Bowl is a designated national historic landmark and cornerstone of Fair Park. With a legacy of hosting world-class events for almost a century, this iconic venue will maintain its beloved façade and be infused with a new vitality while creating indelible fan experiences. Plans include widening concourses, enhancing circulation, and improved food and beverage options, along with expanded restroom facilities. Guided by sustainable development strategies, an expanded array of hospitality areas and premium environments will elevate the Cotton Bowl’s overall fan experience and catalyze positive economic impact for future improvements across Fair Park and the Dallas community.

The $140 million upgrade to the Cotton Bowl Stadium will dramatically enhance the experience for the fans who visit Fair Park every year to attend concerts and sporting events — and most importantly, the annual Red River Showdown during the State Fair of Texas.
