Es Con Field Hokkaido, an innovative and state-of-the-art 35,000-seat stadium, is home to the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters baseball team. Designed to resemble a “miniature city,” the stadium masterfully captures the essence of the Hokkaido region by blending a traditional triangular façade with a contemporary glass wall, seamlessly combining the region’s heritage with modern architectural aesthetics.

The retractable roof ensures protection from the region’s harsh weather, while the unique asymmetrical layout provides diverse spectator experiences, catering to different preferences and vantage points. The extensive use of glass walls throughout the stadium not only showcases the beauty of the surrounding landscape but also fosters a connection with nature, allowing ample natural light to pour into the venue.

Situated on an 80-acre greenfield site, the stadium’s design incorporates varied elevations and landscaped terraces, ensuring accessibility for fans of all ages and abilities, while preserving the region’s natural charm and intimate connection with nature. Es Con Field Hokkaido distinguishes itself with a natural Kentucky bluegrass playing surface, which is a rarity among Japanese stadiums.

Es Con Field Hokkaido is packed with amenities and attractions for fans to enjoy beyond the game, creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience for baseball enthusiasts and visitors looking to immerse themselves in the Hokkaido region’s culture and atmosphere.
