There was no perceived notion for what Imanta would look like. Instead, we looked at the site and the land to see what it would yield. The stone walls for the buildings, for example, came from boulders we cleared. We even hollowed bathtubs out of boulders and made slab stone tables from the leftover cuttings. We were careful not to cut down any trees, and we took pains to site the buildings, respecting the topography and make them totally private.
