The University of Texas at San Antonio is a central hub for data intelligence and cybersecurity with the development of its new $90 million facility. Led by Whiting-Turner | Jacobs | OVERLAND, this state-of-the-art building integrates both programs, anchoring UTSA within San Antonio’s burgeoning high-tech corridor adjacent to the San Pedro Creek project. Designed to propel UTSA towards national recognition as a research-intensive institution, the facility houses the School of Data Science and the National Security Collaboration Center, bringing together over 70 faculty members in key fields such as cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to provide government, industry and community partners with access to UTSA’s nationally recognized programs and talent. With 84,500 square feet dedicated to classroom, laboratory, and research space for the School of Data Science, alongside 72,000 square feet allocated for innovation space and research facilities, this project embodies UTSA’s commitment to excellence and collaboration within the community and beyond.

Every step of the design and construction process was an intentional collaboration between construction partners in actualizing the UTSA vision. Together, we have created a space that will bring new connections and innovation to the San Antonio tech corridor.
